Which links can I paste?
Post links from x.com and twitter.com, plus mobile.twitter.com, fxtwitter.com, vxtwitter.com and fixupx.com. Extras like ?s=20 at the end are fine.
Why isn't the video available in 1080p?
Quality options come from the files X keeps for that video. If it was uploaded in 720p, 720p is the highest; X has no larger version either.
Can I download posts from private accounts?
No. Only media from public posts can be reached. Protected accounts and age-restricted posts that X hides from signed-out visitors aren't supported.
Why do GIFs download as MP4?
X stores GIFs as silent MP4 videos. The file you get is exactly what X stores, and it is much smaller than a GIF.
How do I save a video to Photos on iPhone?
After tapping Download, open the file from Safari's downloads icon, tap Share and choose "Save Video".
Can I save a video as a GIF or MP3?
Yes. Use the Convert menu on the video card to get a GIF, an MP3 or a lossless M4A. It runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded. GIFs are capped at 15 seconds and 480 pixels wide.
Can I download all the media in a thread?
Once the post is open, tap "Find the rest of the thread". The author's posts in that thread are collected and all their media can be downloaded as one ZIP. Media from a quoted post is listed too.
How may I use what I download?
Rights belong to whoever posted it. Downloading for a personal archive is fine; ask the owner before republishing.
